Welcome to Aristotle AI! By downloading, installing, or using our mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Aristotle AI ("the App"), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Aristotle AI provides:

• Access to quotes, works, essays, and letters by Aristotle
• AI-powered explanations and insights
• Daily quote notifications
• Favorites and bookmarking features
• Educational content about ancient philosophy

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the App for lawful purposes only
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the App
• Not use the App to distribute malware or harmful content
• Respect the intellectual property rights of the content
• Not misrepresent yourself or impersonate others

4. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content (excluding public domain works by Aristotle) are owned by Kreggscode and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Aristotle's works are in the public domain. Our translations, compilations, and AI-generated content are proprietary.

5. Content Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy, we make no warranties about the completeness, reliability, or accuracy of the content. The App is for educational and inspirational purposes only.

6. AI-Generated Content

The App may use AI to provide explanations and insights. AI-generated content:

• Is provided for educational purposes
• May not always be 100% accurate
• Should not be considered as authoritative scholarly interpretation
• Is meant to enhance your understanding, not replace academic study

7. User-Generated Content

Currently, the App does not support user-generated content or comments. Your favorites and preferences are stored locally on your device.

8. Notifications

By enabling daily notifications, you consent to receive quote notifications from the App. You can disable these at any time in the app settings.

9. Modifications to the App

We reserve the right to:

• Modify or discontinue the App at any time
• Update features and content
• Change these Terms of Service with notice

Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kreggscode and Aristotle AI shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data or profits
• Interruption of service
• Any damages arising from your use of the App

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kreggscode from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

12. Third-Party Links

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content or practices of these third parties.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Kreggscode regarding the use of the App.

17. Age Restrictions

The App is suitable for all ages. Users under 13 should use the App with parental guidance.

18. Open Source

Aristotle AI is open source and available on GitHub. You may view the source code, but redistribution must comply with the repository's license.
